These bills are fairly typical of my marking style from February 2000 onward, except for the color. Most often I used brown pens, or blue if I couldn't find brown. I just happened to make the scan above during a month when I was trying green for a change. (I haven't been able to tell that the color changes had much effect on my hit rate.) The pens I was using were Sakura Pigma Micron in size 01.
For my first two months at WG, December 1999 and January 2000, I was marking my bills much more poorly, with ballpoint pens and with much less wording (often just the WG URL). These bills still haven't returned a very good hit rate, even after over four and a half years.
